Silver medals for Charnwood AC U15 boys and U17 Women at the Midlands Cross-Country Relays held at Wolverhampton
Some fine performances by Charnwood AC athletes at this year's Midland Counties Cross Country Relay Championships at the Aldersley Leisure Village Wolverhampton on Saturday 19th October saw silver medals for the Under 15 boys and Under 17 women's teams.
The Under 15 boys were just unable to retain the title they won in 2018 but still finished in silver medal position with Tom Dixon getting the team off to a great start with a time of 10 minutes 40 seconds - the joint fastest leg time of the race. He was supported by Sam Haines in 11:44 and Harry Foord 11:28
A fine performance from the Under 17 women to come back with the silver medal with Gemma Newport leading off in 12:00, Lexie McLoughlin 11:44 and Alice Walton in 12:41
Some good runs also from incomplete teams, with Miles Foord in 12:31 and Harry Blewitt-Jenkins 13:08 in the Under 13 boys, Amy Blythe 14:47 and Abigail Cook 17:09 in the Under 15 girls, a solo run from Jake Blyth 12:02 in the Under 15 boys, and Colin Foord 10:36 and Lucas Wolf-Pudney 10:49 in the Under 17 men.
