Charnwood AC member Charli Sampson represented Leicestershire on the 23rd June 2019 in the Pentathlon at the English Schools Regional (East Anglia) Combined Events championships. Charli put in a fantastic performance coming 1st overall and helping the Leicestershire team to 2nd place.

Charli's score in the 5 events was 2884 points, beating the previous Charnwood AC U15 record (2752) set in 2004. Her individual events were:

75m Hurdles 12.7sec (PB)

Shot Putt 9.48m (PB)

High Jump 1.47m (PB)

Long Jump 4.98

800m 2:33.6

By winning the event, Charli automatically qualifies for the finals in September at Exeter and has a number of other competitions pencilled in for the rest of the season.
