Leicestershire Cross Country Championships 2018
On a muddy and challenging course, Charnwood AC’s athletes put in some fine performances despite a raw and bitterly cold day at this year’s County Cross Country Championships, held at Rotherby Lodge Farm near Melton Mowbray.
Four individual titles were claimed, by Sean McCann (Under 13 boys), Ollie Rouse (Under 17 men), Joe Pollard (Under 20 men) and Anne Holyland (Masters Women).

In addition, congratulations also to Thomas Dixon, Vinnie Dawson, Kieren Coleman Smith, Amy Hammersley and Finn Lydon for their individual silver medals and Lexie McLoughlin, Alex Coleston-Shields, Laura Aryeetey, Ethan O'Shea, Hannah Cox and Thomas Gostelow for their bronze medals.
Seven team titles were also taken, by the Under 13 girls (Lucy Morrison, Rachael Newport and Amelie McCann), Under 13 boys (Sean McCann, Thomas Dixon and Frankie Bevilacqua Masunda), Under 15 boys (Vinnie Dawson, Alex Coleston Shields and Jamie Day), Under 17 men (Ollie Rouse, Kieren Coleman-Smith and Ethan O’Shea), Under 17 women (Laura Aryeety, Eleanor Here and Peta Jarvis), Under 20 men (Joe Pollard, Finn Lydon and Tom Gostelow), and Under 20 women (Amy Hammersley, Hannah Cox and Paige Stevenson).

Well done to everyone who competed for Charnwood in all age groups.
